CITY SCOPE
Mobile app for exploring the city smarter. Validated core features early and saved the team about 10,000 € in wasted dev time.

Project & My Role
I designed City Scope, a mobile app that connects places and events in the city. Merging Google listings, Facebook events, and viral content from Instagram into one seamless experience. My job was to build the entire product from scratch, including UX strategy, interface design, research, component system, and user testing. I also designed for both user types: local business owners and everyday app users.

The Problem I Solved
Locals didn’t know where to go tonight.
Events were scattered across Facebook, Instagram, Google Maps. No central place, no filters, no live context. For business owners, promoting events meant switching tools and struggling with visibility. The user journey was fragmented, frustrating, and filled with dead ends.
City Scope unified it all: places, events, tags, time, people – into one smooth, app-based flow.

Results I Delivered
🧩 Saved weeks of dev time by designing a ready-to-use UI kit for FlutterFlow
💸 Avoided ~€10,000 in wasted development through early prototype testing
🧠 Familiar interface logic reduced onboarding and boosted engagement
🖼️ Content-first design made every venue look great, regardless of branding

What I Designed & Why
I created an interface that feels native and social-first, with layout logic inspired by platforms users already know (Instagram, Google Maps, TikTok).
For users:
Smart explore view with filters by place, event type, and tags
Location-first search connected to a live city map
Event cards designed to go viral with minimal content effort
Familiar component behavior to reduce onboarding friction
For venue owners:
Step-by-step event creation flow with visual preview
Custom tag system and short onboarding walkthrough
Layouts designed to make any content (from fine dining to night clubs) stand out
PDF guide + content tips to help businesses succeed in-app
I also prepared all designs for direct implementation in FlutterFlow, with clear structure, naming, and layout constraints—optimized for handoff and future scaling.

SUMMARY
I wasn’t just building screens… I was designing a growth-ready, two-sided product experience. By aligning user behavior, platform familiarity, and dev-friendly design, I helped a young startup launch faster, spend smarter, and deliver a product users genuinely liked using. City Scope wasn’t just usable – it was social, scalable, and strategically built for viral traction.
